Role Description:
StitchWorks is seeking a Development & Marketing Intern to join our small but mighty 501c3 based in Downtown Indianapolis. We aim to provide an enriching experience 2 days per week to promising graduate or undergraduate students interested in marketing, the nonprofit sector, and the fashion industry. This is a unique experience to serve the creative community and develop an interdisciplinary set of skills in nonprofit management, digital marketing, and fashion production. The ideal candidate is creative, service-minded, organized, enjoys being a self-starter, and eager to learn new things. Our Development & Marketing Interns will contribute to our annual fundraising initiatives and community engagement under the leadership of creative economy professionals.
Areas of Focus:
MARKETING
Content Creation for StitchWorks Social Media (Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok)
Updating local advertising channels according to community calendar
Collaborating with PATTERN Team for cross-marketing
Content Creation for StitchWorks Newsletter
DEVELOPMENT
Advancing fashion education in local high school programs
Collaborating with StitchWorks Team on community event planning
Assisting Development Fellow in grant research and data reporting
Supporting community events hosted by StitchWorks
POSSIBLE OPPORTUNITIES
Supporting Production Manager in ongoing Manufacturing Production
Collaborating with StitchWorks Team for in-house merchandise
Recommended Interests:
Non-Profit Development, Marketing Social Media, Content Creation, Graphic Design, Event and program planning/management, Fashion, Sewing, Survey Collection, Editorial Writing
Requirements:
-Work 2 days a week, working in-person at the StitchWorks HQ 9:15 AM-3:30 PM Tuesday and Thursday.
-An additional 2-5 remote hours weekly as well.
-Additional special event(s) may need to be attended
-Have own reliable car, laptop, and smart phone
Work a total of 15-20 hours a week. Some special events outside inperson hours may be needed.
Other Considerations:
This is a paid internship with a flat weekly rate.
StitchWorks is a non-profit organization
Priority is given to college students who are rising Juniors and older.
