Sewing Classes
**StitchWorks is a working production facility so we teach using industrial sewing machines. All skills practiced can be implemented with your home machine. As we do teach with industrial machines, we recommend individuals attending our classes be 16 years old and older.
Course Levels
Introductory
(Prerequisite to all other courses)
Basic understanding of the skills and techniques of industrial straight-stitch and overlock sewing machine operation.
Construction & Intermediate
(Project changes seasonally)
Explore sewing through a variety of techniques, including pattern-following, working with different textiles, and essential sewing skills like zipper installation, hemming, and pocket creation.

Advanced
(Minum of 2 classes required)
Understanding of skills and techniques to alter clothing for fit, with both hand and machine sewing. This class is for experienced sewers. (darts, tucks, taking in seams)
Other special programming and classes are offered throughout the year!
-All classes require that you take the Intro to Industrial Sewing/Skill 1, class first. Unless otherwise stated.
-Class schedules and registration are opened one month at a time. On the first Friday of each month.

Cancellation Policy
If there is a need to cancel your registration for a class, StitchWorks requires an email stating cancelation to info@stitchworksindy.com, a minimum of 7 days prior to scheduled class, to receive a refund. StitchWorks does not reschedule missed classes.
